Clay bricks

Red Clay bricks are burned in a kiln which makes them durable. Modern, fired, clay bricks are formed in one of the three processes – soft mud, dry press and extruded. Normally, bricks contain the following ingredients: Silica (Sand) – 50% to 60% by weight. Clay bricks made of fired clay. The composition of clay varies over a wide range. Usually, clays are composed mainly of Silica (grains of sand), Alumina, Lime, Iron, Manganese, Sulphur, and Phosphates, in different proportions.
